Organizing your network
A network that grows without organization quickly becomes unusable. A few habits are enough to keep it useful.
Filter rather than scroll
Trying to find "who could help me with X" by scrolling through a long list doesn't scale. Advanced filters (skills, services, availability, area) exist to answer that question directly instead of guessing at it.
Favorites and availability
Not everyone matters the same amount at the same time. Star the contacts you collaborate with the most, and keep their availability up to date: it avoids reaching out to someone who no longer has time to give.
A note beats a memory
A contact's private note is the place for everything that doesn't fit elsewhere: a preference, a sensitivity, a detail not to forget. What you don't write down, you forget. It's that simple.
